After Oral Surgery<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Take the prescribed <strong>medication<\/strong> at fixed times:<br \/><br \/>\u00bb Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAID)<br \/>eg. Brufen, Ibuprofen, Nurofen, Spidifen, Apranax, Voltaren ao<br \/>help to avoid swelling and pain<br \/>(!) Don\u2019t take these when having active stomach problems<br \/>and preferably don\u2019t take these on an empty stomach!<br \/>\u00bb Add extra painkillers when necessary<br \/>eg . Dafalgan (Codeine), Panadol, Perdolan and others<br \/>never exceed the maximum dose<br \/>(!) Never take aspirin derivatives eg. Aspegic, Dispril, Sedergine ao<br \/>because these give a tendency to bleed<br \/>\u00bb Antibiotics<br \/>only on indication<br \/>(!) Report Allergies to Your Doctor<br \/>\u00bb Children<br \/>Junifen , Nurofen Junior, Perdolan<br \/><br \/><\/li><li><strong>Ice applications<\/strong> on the cheeks during the first hours after the procedure reduce swelling, as well as light height when sleeping (an extra pillow).<br \/><br \/><\/li><li><strong>Food and drink:<\/strong>:<br \/>\u00bb Do not consume hot food\/drinks in the hours following the procedure<br \/>\u00bb Do not eat again (soft food) until the anesthesia has completely worn off<br \/>\u00bb Avoid alcohol consumption<br \/><br \/><\/li><li><strong>Oral and dental hygiene<\/strong>:<br \/>\u00bb Brushing teeth from the day after the procedure<br \/>\u00bb Also in the treated area, brush all teeth completely<br \/>\u00bb Use mouthwash 2-3x\/day from the day after the procedure<br \/><br \/><\/li><li><strong>Do not smoke<\/strong> at least a few days after the procedure<br \/><br \/><\/li><li>Most <strong>stitches<\/strong> will digest on their own after 10 to 14 days.
